October 3, 2022 ULI Awards: Four Ten Lofts ULI Awards: Four Ten Lofts The Verve Partnership is thrilled to have played a part in TWO recently awarded and very important Baltimore City mixed use development projects. Village Center @Stadium Place; A GEDCO Master Development Project and Four Ten Lofts; A partnership with French Development, Episcopal Housing Corporation, and Healthcare for the Homeless. Today we are celebrating Four Ten Lofts; A partnership with French Development, Episcopal Housing Corporation, and Healthcare for the Homeless. Aligning with our vision of “Creating spaces that bring alignment between Purpose, People and Place” this project lauds something we as designers and creatives can seriously get behind; it provides an approach to building community through art and homelessness. Did you know that the arts have an infectious power to support social change? Did you also know that the arts can provide a safe shelter for self-expression? Did you also know art can heal. Art can reduce stress and encourage relaxation? Because the developers have a strong belief in providing a place that serves as a long-term integrated community, Four Ten Lofts is comprised of one two- and three-bedroom, affordable high-quality homes, at both market and affordable rates to artisans, makers and those exiting homelessness, both individuals and families. As designers, building community is an underlying and unifying tenet for all our projects (ergo vision above). Four Ten Lofts offers a wide range of supportive community driven spaces where art can be created, nurtured, and celebrated by providing the tools and conditions to strengthen the social fabric of the newly formed Bromo Arts District. Along with support from Health Care for the Homeless, Four Ten Lofts employs an arts coordinator who programs activities and gallery events that contribute to the evolution of this dynamic neighborhood. We love when our organizational mission and visions align with our clients, with all three development partners radiating alignment: “We partner to build communities.” ~The French Companies “To provide good quality, modern, affordable housing for families and individuals and thereby create the foundations for healthy and sustainable communities.” ~ Episcopal Housing Corporation “Everyone is healthy and has a safe home in a just and respectful community.” ~Health Care for the Homeless When all missions align…Something special is always created. ULI’s mission is to “Shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide” and with this award Four Ten Lofts is an exemplary example of not only the mission and vision of ULI and design team, but one of our favorite quotes: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.”~Margaret Mead. And so they did. Read more here: https://bit.ly/3r2Vfsi Thank you @ULI and congrats to all project team members. Post navigation ← ULI Awards: Village Center @Stadium Place The Coworking Mindset →
